Chief David Carpenter was named Daphne's Police Chief on August 1st, 2003 and has served in law enforcement since 1989. Our department has 75 employees, 45 of which are sworn officers. The Daphne Police Department is situated in the Joseph H. Hall Justice Center, on Highway 98 in Daphne. The Justice Center was named for former Chief of Police Joseph H. Hall, who served as Daphne's Police Chief for 35 years.
The City of Daphne is located in Baldwin County, Alabama on the eastern shoreline of Mobile Bay, just off Interstate 10; 11 miles east of Mobile, Alabama, 45 miles west of Pensacola, Florida and 150 miles southwest of Montgomery, Alabama - the State Capitol. Daphne has a population of approximately 22,000 and is one of the fastest growing areas in the nation.
